Brasserie
The Brasserie began life as little more than a specials board in the coffee shop, a little bit different to our sandwiches and salads. So popular were these specials that they first muscled their way onto the menu and in short order demanded a whole sheet of A3 paper to themselves.
The style of food is difficult to describe, it’s both European and English, modern and traditional – there are sub-continental influences and I daresay a few Asian influences thrown in for good measure.
The menu changes frequently – new dishes come and go, but some of the old favourites refuse to disappear.
The Brasserie menu is served 12 – 2.30 and 6.30pm - 9.30pm Monday to Saturday and 12 – 4.30 Sundays and Bank Holidays. Bookings are advisable but by no means essential. As we always try to keep a few tables back for walk in customers and spontaneous diners.
Rules and fussiness are kept to a minimum; we are a relaxed, informal eating and drinking experience.
